What are some signs of a weak battery? We've compiled a list of a few signs you can look out for to avoid a sticky situation where your car wont start as you are going about your day!
1. Dim Headlights
If you realise that your headlights might be dimmer than usual or have experienced flickering headlights, you might have a dying car battery. Get to a workshop ASAP as headlights also help to ensure your safety and others on the road!
2. Clicking Sounds
Clicking sounds while your car cranks to life? It could be a sign that there is a limited amount of voltage supplied by the battery. Be sure to get it checked out immediately!
3. Check Engine Light Is On
The Check Engine light on your dashboard can indicate that something may be wrong with your car. It may or may not be a battery problem. However, it could often stem from something such as a failing car battery. It is best to check with a mechanic and get it replaced if needed.
4. General Electrical Problems
Your car battery powers all electrical units of your vehicle. That said, if you notice your radio, windshield wipers or window controls malfunctioning, it could be a sign that your car battery may be at the end of its life.
Intermittent sparks are an obvious warning sign that your vehicle might be dealing with battery problems or other problems in a different component of the car. Sparks are very hard to miss, and might be a sign to get your battery tested as soon as possible.
